Since I'm a Taurus, and, as you may recall, Tougher Than the Rest, I don't need a bunch of snivelling complainers to make me feel lousy. I can damn well do that on my own. 

 

Arctic Bound

I'm trying. Lord knows I'm trying. If nobody books me next week I'm leaving for the North Pole. How's that for a move? 

Tougher Than the Rest

Where the Heart Is

All joking aside, I believe that the Kingdom is within us. If we could only truly firmly believe and act on this, our worlds would be heaven on earth.

I will be listening to my Christian Science broadcast today at 12 noon, eastern standard time.  If I can take it to heart, my cats Edward and Paris will stop hissing at the new kitten, and I will be happy.

Fast Moving Train

Umm... it's not my fault the log truck was on the railroad tracks when the freight train came through.

Amazingly enough, only one apartment (not mine) was decimated, and no one was injured.

So who will attack me, and why? Is because of the new kitten? I haven't even finalized my decision to adopt her. Is three cats in a loft in dangerous proximity to the southern railroad too edgy?

 O.K., my public. Hit me with it. I'm off to the Humane Society to clean cages. It's Photos with Santa Day. 

Suspicious Minds

 It's 9 a.m., and I have my guard up. I can't build my dreams on suspicious minds, even my own. Time will tell if this cheerful prediction holds water, or if my Christian Science training will turn the tide.

Trouble Waiting to Happen

My attitude is: I'm not taking any chances. Whether the world is for me or against me, I'm staying home and watching t.v. all day. I'll venture out again... eventually.

A Little Directionality, Please

When I read this, I became quite excited and gave some very serious thought to spending at least part of the day working on the book-which-is-going-to-make-me-a-million dollars. The book I have been working on and off on for longer than I care to admit.

Somehow, it did not happen. But I did put in several hours at the Humane Society, and managed to get the materials necessary to make an even tackier Christmas wreath than the one we had last year.

I guess that's taking a creative project to a higher level.

And as far as yesterday went: I had attitude. I vacated one of the two storage lockers I have had for 20 years. 

Chapeau bas, me.

Act As If

"Attitude is everything, especially on the work front where you will succeed if you can convince yourself that you are the best at what you do. It isn't far from the truth and, if you work hard, it soon will be true."

Tomorrow, they'll be in the cabin and the plane will crash without me.  They'll be in the woods looking for a two-legged meal, and I'll be satisfied with a sandwich. Did my agency call?  No.

Still, I know I can die or be injured with panache, and I can tear my living prey apart with the best of them. Bring it on!

But today, just for today, I'm going to move some stuff around. On Craig's List, Ebay and in my storage lockers. I CAN DO IT!

As far as yesterday's prediction goes, my angel of a service manager at Athens Chevrolet heard the strange buzzing in the Silverado's dashboard and is replacing the entire instrument panel. At no charge.

How's that for yesterday's prophecy fufilled?
