Since I'm a Taurus, and, as you may recall, Tougher Than the Rest, I don't need a bunch of snivelling complainers to make me feel lousy. I can damn well do that on my own.
Ohhh, dear, it's cold out and I haven't bought any Christmas presents and I have a story to do and my knee hurts and the baby has a cold and I am having trouble with my real estate agents and soon the holidays will be over and then I will feel a letdown and I don't know what I'm doing with my life and everything sucks and ohhhh, dear.

ReplyDeleteYou just told me over the phone it was warm in New York, the guests were all gone, and you don't make Christmas cookies any more.

My cat is sick, I'm always broke, five of the spaces in my condo are going up for sale and there will be endless construction and noise, I hate Christmas, it's freezing, I'm exhausted all the time, there's nothing good on t.v., my back hurts, I'm running out of the toothpaste I like and they don't make it anymore.
